Betty Tanner

GROVE: Betty Jean Tanner, 76, died March 5, 2007 at Integris Grove General Hospital in Grove Oklahoma. Betty was born December 15, 1930 to John Henry Morgan and Annie Liza (Tosh) Morgan in Delaware county Oklahoma. Betty married John Leonard Tanner, they had nine children. Betty was a member of the Triple Cross Ranch Ministries in Jay Oklahoma. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include Mary "Babe" Garner and her husband Melvin, Jerry Tanner and his wife Bonnie, Robert "Jug" Tanner and his wife Donna, Leonard "Short" Tanner, Bobby "Jass" Tanner and his wife Teresa, Rick Tanner and his wife Ann, all of Jay Oklahoma, Brenda Curtis and husband Roy of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, one sister Bessie Starks of Hutchison Kansas, thirty-four grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son John "Doccy" Tanner, and eleven brothers and sisters. A visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Butler Baptist Church Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Dewey Standford officiating. Committal service immediately following at O'Field Cemetery in Jay, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Triple Cross Ministries.
