Calvin Braitsch

Calvin Oscar Braitsch, age 95, formerly of Grove, Oklahoma died on Thursday, January 29, 2009 in St. Cloud, Florida. The son of Oscar J. and Ionia Mae (Herman) Braitsch was born on April 25, 1913 in Wichita, Kansas. Calvin was a graduate of the Wichita Business College. He was united in marriage to Dorothea on August 16, 1936; she preceded Calvin in death in 1998. Calvin was a Parts Manager for Price Auto Service for forty-two years. He was a lifetime member of the Wichita Musicians Union, and was a past musician with the "big bands" in the Wichita area. He played the saxophone, clarinet and the piano. Calvin was a member of the First Christian Church. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothea, one son Ray Arlen Braitsch and one granddaughter Kaesee Braitsch. He is survived by his son Ted Braitsch and his wife of Orlando Florida, daughter in-law Judy Braitsch of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and four grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, February 2, 2009 at the Hickory Grove Cemetery with Dr. Wayne Shaw officiating.
