Edna Dixon

Grove ~ Edna Mae Dixon, age 89, died on Tuesday April 20, 2010 at Integris Grove General Hospital. The daughter of Merle Leonard Mahaffey and Marie Lucile (Cannon) Mahaffey, Edna was born on July 25, 1920 in Marshalltown, Iowa. Edna married Otto Depping who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Ruben T. Dixon in 1995. Edna retired from sales from The Casual Shoppe in Grove, Oklahoma. Edna was a member of the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, three children Tom Depping, David Depping and Robin Depping. Edna is survived by her husband Reuben T. Dixon, her son Patrick Depping and his wife Marsha of Kansas City, Missouri, step son R.T. Dixon, Jr. and his wife Carol Ann of McAllen, Texas, one brother Robert Mahaffey of Urbandale, Iowa, and two sisters Joan Barnes of Grove and Jane Payton of Clovis, New Mexico. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday April 24, 2010 at the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church with Father Alex Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow at the Olympus Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Ellis Family Funeral Home of Grove, Oklahoma.
