Ellen Brashers

Ellen (Tims) Brashers, age 78, died on February 3, 2010 in Grove, Oklahoma. Ellen was born December 4, 1931, to James Earl and Anna Rightsell Tims of Northboro, Iowa. Following graduation from Northboro High School, she worked as a bookkeeper in various cities. Ellen married Delbert "Red" Brashers January 28, 1978, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Together they managed apartment complexes in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Following early retirement, they operated a lawn care business in the Grove area while enjoying lakeside life. Red preceded her in death in 1997. Ellen's greatest motivation in life was sharing God's love with everyone she met. She is survived by one brother Keith Lindell and wife Jean of Lennox, Iowa; one sister Donna Cope and husband Tom of Omaha, Nebraska; two nephews, one niece; two stepdaughters and their husbands Debra and Tom Goertz of Rose, Oklahoma, and Cheryl and John Blair of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and many faithful friends. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. February 12th at Impact Ministries located in the Ellis Family Funeral Home.
