Fred Harvey Komma age 85, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Grove Integris Hospital. The son of William Anthony and Annie Mae Standlee Komma, he was born on July 29, 1925 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Fred married Donna Rogers on June 2, 1946 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Fred served in the Marine Corps during WW II including combat action at Iwo Jima and occupation of Japan. He was a TV producer and director in the Tulsa area from 1949 until 1964, and for the Charlotte Peters Show in the St Louis area from 1964 to 1985. In 1985 he went to work for Arrow Trenching and Excavating in Ellisville, Missouri until his retirement in 1992. Upon retirement he moved to Grove, Oklahoma where he was active in Gideons International and was an active member and helped build the Grand Lake Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Donna Komma of the home, and his son Kevin Komma and grandchildren Travis, Zakary, and Taryn of Joplin, Missouri. Fred is also survived by his daughter Sandy Michael and husband Pete of Paris Texas. The funeral will be at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19. 2011 in the Grand Lake Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Moore officiating. The interment will be at 11:30 am Saturday in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The services are entrusted to the Ellis Family Funeral Home of Grove, Oklahoma.
