Herbert Ziemann

Herbert "Bud" A. Ziemann, Jr., age 93, died on January 26, 2013 at the Grand Lake Villa in Grove, Oklahoma. Bud was the son of Herbert A. and Laura M (Landon) Ziemann. He was born on November 24, 1919 in Pomona, California. Bud proudly served during WWII from 1942 until 1946. He served as a Buck Sergeant and was in the 3rd Marine Division. He married Lucille E. Traister in 1956 in Las Vegas, NV. Bud worked as a Crew Chief for Lockheed Aircraft for 15 years. Bud is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one step-son Sonny Kirby. He is survived by one step daughter Nancy Porter and grandson Dan Linnestruth. Bud is also survived by his close friend Betty Burrow. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday January 29, 2013 at the Buzzard Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma with pastor Wayne McDaniels officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Grove Ritual Team. Services are under the direction of Ellis Family Funeral Home.
