John Blevins

Grove - John Thomas "J.T." Blevins peacefully went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 4, 2007 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. John was born February 4, 1945, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Archie James "Jack" and Evelyn Lane Blevins. John graduated from high school in Catoosa, Oklahoma. John was a gifted jeweler and owner of J.T.'s Jewelers in Grove. J.T. was a member of the Moose Lodge, Grove EMS Board, and also enjoyed motorcycles and playing golf. John is survived by his wife, Stacie R. Pair Blevins, of the home; daughters, Janette Arleen Blevins of Owasso, Oklahoma, Bailey Michelle Blevins and Addie Lee Blevins, both of the home. He is also survived by two brothers, James Blevins and wife Nelda of Broken Arrow, David Blevins and wife Debbie of Cleveland, Oklahoma. Five sisters, Winona Land of Commerce, Oklahoma, Judy Catlett and husband Arval of Broken Arrow, Nancy Thompson of Broken Arrow, Brenda Lehenbauer and husband Lynn of Oklahoma City and Dr. Connie Lane and husband David McElwain of Tulsa, Oklahoma. John is also survived by a plethora of nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ronnie and Cecil Blevins and two sisters Mary McDaris and Lena Darby. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to the John Blevins Memorial Fund, to benefit the two minor daughters in care of the First National Bank of Grove. Visitation for family and friends was held Sunday, January 7, 2007 from 12:00 noon until 5:00p.m. at Ellis Family Funeral Home, Grove, OK. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2007 at the Delaware Baptist Church, approximately five miles south of Grove on State Hiway 10 and 59, officiated by J.T. Blevins' nephew, Reverend Jim Land of Miami, Oklahoma. Interment will follow immediately at Hickory Grove cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove, Oklahoma.
