Marjorie Louise Doughty, age 97, passed away on May 28, 2013 at Integris Grove General Hospital. Marjorie was the daughter of Charles Francis and Martha Louise (Stang) Sterns, she was born on November 13, 1915 in Humboldt, Kansas. Marjorie was a avid reader, den mother for the Boy Scouts, played the organ for the church, grand prize winning quilter, founding member of the Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tulsa, and founding member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grove. Marjorie was a Cherry Red at the hospital for sixteen years. She enjoyed fishing as well. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Oril Carol Doughty, and son Charles Ellis Doughty. Marjorie is survived by her children Daryl Doughty and wife Vickie of Bartlesville, Alan Doughty of Tulsa and Lynn O. Doughty and his wife Judith of Jay and Sharon L. May and husband Joseph of Arlington, Washington. Marjorie was blessed with eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 2 2013 at the Ellis Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Todd Harrison officiating. Marjorie's final resting place will be Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow. Family and friends may leave online condolences by viewing Marjorie's obituary at www.ellisfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma.
