Vernon Batt

Vernon Edmond Batt, age 83, died on May 20, 2013 at the Circle of Life in Bentonville, Arkansas. Vernon was born on August 24, 1929 in Minneola, Kansas. He was the son of Joseph and Mary (Elffner) BattVernon proudly served in the United States Army from 1951-53. He worked in the construction industry building bridges. He was united in marriage to the love of his life Ruth Howell. Vernon is preceded in death by his first wife Joann Margaret Wright. Vernon is survived by his wife Ruth Batt, two stepsons; Roger K. Ferguson and Steven Ferguson and two step daughters; Sharon Carter and Terry Vanmeerhagha, also two sisters Barbara Ward of Englewood Colorado and Charlene Woodhams and her husband Lee of Lazear, Colorado; and one brother Larry Batt and his wife Barbara of Elizabeth, CO. Vernon's cremains will be laid to rest in Fowler Cemetery in Fowler Kansas in September of 2013. Anyone with questions can call Vernon's sister Barbara Ward at 720-470-4419.
