Grove - Wilfred N. "Duke" Windsor, 81, died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Grove General Hospital in Grove, Oklahoma. Duke was born in Olathe, Kansas on February 20, 1928 to William and Gertrude Windsor. Duke was a graduate of Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas. After graduation he spent four years in the United States Navy Air Reserve station in Olathe, Kansas. He married Mildred K. Stum on February 12, 1954 in Kansas City, Kansas. Mildred proceeded him in death on December 5, 2009. Duke retired in 1990 after 35 years as a salesman for Sears, Roebuck and Co. Duke is survived by a son, Dean Windsor and wife Karin of Gardner, Kansas, a daughter Debbie and husband Dwayne Floyd of Grove, Oklahoma, four grandchildren, Michelle, Susan, Chasity, and Christine, and five great grandchildren, Jason, Jacob, Vivian, Aaron and Elsie. Duke was proceeded in death by his wife Mildred, his parents and brother Alfred. A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday March 8, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove, Okalahoma. Funeral Services will be held in Kansas City, Kansas at Shawnee Full Gospel Church, Tuesday March 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Don Phillips officiating. Viewing will be held 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens also in Kansas City, Kansas. Services have been entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma. Friends and family may leave online condolences by viewing obituary at www.ellisfuneralhome.com
