Clyde Tackkett

Clyde Roland Tackkett, 88, passed away on July 11, 2016 at his residence in Grove, Oklahoma. Clyde was born on October 5, 1927 in Bronson, Kansas. He was the son of Frederick L. and Bessie (Gates) Tackkett. Clyde worked in the air craft sheet metal industry for twenty-two years. He retired from Magc Circle Manufacturing a machinist in 1994, and that is when he moved from Coffeyville, Kansas to Grove, Oklahoma. Clyde enjoyed square dancing and was an excellent wood crafter. He was an inventor and fixer. Clyde was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Coleen Tackkett, his sister Virginia Warner and granddaughter Angie Seger Maddy. He is survived by his two sons Frank Tackkett and his wife Marsha of Grove, Oklahoma, Roland Tackkett and his wife Sherry of Toronto, Kansas, his daughter Gail Mosler of Grove, Oklahoma, and one brother Dale Tackkett and his wife Antoinette of New Jersey. Clyde was blesses with seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and was beloved by many nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m., Monday, July 18, 2016 at Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Restlawn Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas with Roseanne Vining officiating.
