David Wilhelm

David Samuel Wilhelm, 64 year old resident of Grove, Oklahoma, died on September 15, 2018 at Integris Grove Hospital.

David was born on July 10, 1954 in Maysville, Arkansas. He was the son of Tommy A. Wilhelm and Allison A. (Smith) Winkler. David was a member of the Grand Lake Crappie Club and lived at Blue Bluff Harbor where he fished all year round. He also enjoyed watching WWF and WWE Wrestling, and also competed in Bowling Leagues. David was a longtime umpire for the Southwest City Ball Program. David kept up with all sports and enjoyed watching them all. David worked for Wal-Mart for over 15 years in the produce department. He was a great cook, because he was taught by the best, his mother Allison. He had the greatest laugh and told the best jokes. David never met a stranger and had many friends everywhere he went. Many called David "Mouse" and later "Rat".

David was preceded in death by his wife Susie Wilhelm, his mother Allison Winkler, his father Tommy Wilhelm, his brother Delbert Wilhelm, his niece Tricia Wilhelm, great niece Lillian Wanders, great niece Sunshine Mahurin. He is survived by his daughter Emily Yousey and husband B.J. of Pineville, Missouri, step-daughter; Joni McKee and husband Mike, his brother John Winkler and his wife Jill, and their son Jacob of Noel, Missouri, his sister Pat Wilhelm of Noel, Missouri, his Uncle Deryll Wright and his wife Cathy of Russellville, Arkansas. David adored his grandchildren; Leslie, Wyatt, Doc and Rowdy Yousey, Keisha Lamb and husband Colton, Meghan Betts, Lexie Betts and Aleasha Blake, and great grandson, Dakson Lamb, and several nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Mt. Zion Church in Southwest City, Missouri with Reverend Larry Hendren officiating. A time for fellowship and visiting will be held after the services are concluded. Memorial donations can be made at the Cornerstone Bank in Southwest City, Missouri. Serving as Honorary Bearers will be: David Wetzel, Jim "Weed" Martin, Jim Bushyhead, George Spurling, Mitch Henderson and Jerry Hart. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Family Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
