Linda Elbert

Ellis Family Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-5172. Linda Sue Elbert, age 62, of Jay, OK passed away on August 1, 2016 after a short illness. She was born November 13, 1953 to Grover and Hazel (Morgan) Tanner who both preceded her in death. She married Jim Elbert on January 1, 1971 and immediately moved to Germany where he was stationed in the military. Upon their return home they made their residence in the Whitewater area of Jay, OK where they have lived ever since. They had 3 children and 4 grandchildren who all adored and loved her. She is survived by her husband Jim of the home; daughter Angela Larey and husband Terry of Grove, OK; son Kevin Elbert of Jay, OK; son Brian Elbert of Jay, OK; 4 grandchildren, Katie Larey, Dakota Larey, Cheyenne Elbert and Hunter Elbert; 3 sisters Shirley Crittenden of Jay, OK; Irene Franks of Jay, OK and Judy Campbell of Gravette, AR. Linda was a very kind human being who loved her family and friends and would do anything for someone she cared about. There was never anyone that met her who didn't love her immediately. Visitation will be Sunday August 7,2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Ellis Family Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, August 8, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Butler Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Butler Cemetery.
